Turkish FM Holds Talks with Iranian, Pakistani Counterparts on Iran War
Fidan spoke with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi over the phone to review the “latest situation in the war,” the sources said. In another call, he spoke with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, focusing on regional efforts to bring an end to the conflict triggered by the joint US-Israel attacks on Iran.
The crisis has escalated since February 28, when the US and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran, resulting in more than 1,340 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In response, Tehran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted both global markets and aviation.
